Illinois Public Employer
Labor Relations Association

The Illinois Public Employer Labor Relations Association, IPELRA, is formed
to provide the highest standard of excellence in assisting and representing
all public sector employers in the area of labor and employee relations.

Welcome to the Illinois Public Employer Labor Relations Association (IPELRA) website.

We are the premier association of public sector labor relations and human resources professionals in Illinois. IPELRA is a valuable source of information, including a network of over 300 labor relations and human resources professionals working in municipal, county or state government, school districts, state university systems, and special purpose districts. All of us face the same employee relations issues. We must also reconcile the same federal and state labor and employment decisions and mandates within our specific employee relations environment. Together, we can meet these challenges.

IPELRA provides many training opportunities throughout the year as part of our NPELRA Award-winning training program. Every October we hold our annual conference. We also provide an excellent monthly newsletter that includes labor board decisions, recent contract settlements and legislative updates (see Calendar of Events and Newsletter Highlights). You also gain access to the many benefits and opportunities offered through our affiliation with the National Public Labor Relations Association (NPELRA).

Please visit our Membership Information and Benefits page for more information. You're still hesitant? Then feel free to contact me, or any Board member, with any questions or concerns you have about our association. Then join us. We'd love to have you.
