Attendee Frequently asked questions

Here are a few of our most frequently asked questions to help you make the most of your conference experience. 
 

1. What is the dress attire for the conference?
  The dress is business casual.  Please remember that conference meeting rooms are often cool.  Please bring a sweater or light jacket.
   
 2. What time is the conference over on the last day?  
  The conference will conclude at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10. 

There is a post-conference workshop on Thursday, April 11 from
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., registration fee:  $99.
   
 3. Are there special guest activities available?
 
  • Sunday Welcome Reception:  $40
  • Tuesday Night Reception:  $80 
 4. Will lunch be provided? 
  Lunch will be provided on Monday, April 8 at the Annual Robin Hall Awards luncheon and on Wednesday, April 10 at the Foundation Luncheon.  Lunch is "on your own" for Tuesday, April 9.
   
 5. Who should attend? 
  Labor relations and human resources professionals who are supervisors, managers or who represent management in the public sector, inclusive of cities, counties, courts, school districts, special districts, state agencies and other public sector entities.

Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
  Yes, a confirmation of your registration will be sent to you via email immediately upon registering online.  For registrations made with payment by check, please allow two weeks for processing; confirmation of registration will be sent via email immediately upon processing.  If you do not receive confirmation after 30 days, please do not hesitate to contact us toll free at 877.673.5721.
   
7. What does my registration fee include?
 
Full Conference registration fees include access to all learning activities Monday through Wednesday, Sunday evening Welcome reception, Monday Annual Robin Hall Awards luncheon, Monday through Wednesday morning continental breakfast with afternoon beverages, Tuesday evening Reception and the Wednesday Foundation Luncheon.  Registered attendees will also receive the conference resource CD – valuable sample policies, procedures and documents from colleagues across the country, as well as the post conference CD with the three days of session recordings along with session handouts.

Will I be refunded if I have to cancel my registration?
 
We’ll be sorry you won’t be able to join us for this exceptional learning and networking experience!  However, we understand that things happen so if you simply can’t attend, please notify us in writing by March 15, 2013, to qualify for a refund.  Refunds will be processed less a $75 administrative fee. No refunds will be made after March 15, 2013. Cancellations may be submitted via email to janessa@npelra.org. If someone else from your organization can come in your place, please notify us in writing via email at janessa@npelra.org; one transfer is allowed per registration provided they have the same membership status.
   
9. At the Conference, when does registration open?
  The registration desk opens on Sunday, April 7 at 1:00 p.m. and will be located near the Hidalgo Ballroom.
