NPELRA Foundation (Anthony C. Russo Scholarship Awards)
 

 

The NPELRA Foundation is a nonprofit subsidiary of the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association (NPELRA). The Foundation provides scholarships to deserving graduate students studying labor and employee relations or a closely related field. The Foundation seeks to provide worthy graduate students interested in a career in public sector labor and employee relations with financial assistance.


 

 
2011 Anthony C. Russo Scholarship Awards Winners, who received a $3,000 Russo Scholarship:
 

Douglas Sarff, an NPELRA/OHPELRA member, is seeking a law degree from Capital University Law School. He is the Human Resources Manager for Columbus’s Department of Public Utilities.  He holds two masters degrees and has earned NPELRA’s Certified Labor Relations Professional (CLRP) status.

 

Sandy Zook is working toward a masters’ degree in public administration at the University of Kansas.  She has a B.A. in political science from Missouri Southern State University and is active in the Missouri City Clerks and Financial Officers Association where she chairs the Legislative Committee and also serves on the Technology Committee. She is a Deputy City Clerk for the City of Raymore, Missouri.
