"Returning to Base: Managing and Supporting Veterans and Other Members of the U.S. Armed Forces"

Walnut Creek - Council Chamber
1666 N Main St.
Walnut Creek, CA 94596

Free Workshop - Come Learn About PELRAC!

As long as there is a need for the U.S. Armed Forces, there will also be a need to manage and support public employees who are returning from or heading out to military duty. This workshop offers very practical guidance on how to deal with the most common issues involving veterans, and active and reserve personnel, with respect to not only leave policies, but also reasonable accommodation and protected classes under state and federal law. Workshop participants will also receive a concise written summary of the most relevant legal standards and a straightforward discussion of how to manage, for example, the public works employee being called to reservist training, the safety officer suffering from PTSD, or  the recent veteran applying for a job. This is a free workshop, please come and learn more about PELRAC!
